Work out your real cost of production per acre and profit per maund

Every farmer asks: "What did this crop really cost me per acre?" Instead of rough guesses or theoretical estimates, ZaraiOS totals the actual tractor, diesel, seed, fertiliser, spray, water and labour you recorded and divides it by your acreage and harvest.

  • Your own real figures, no generic estimates
  • Cost per acre and cost per maund
  • Works without internet
ZaraiOS crop report showing cost per acre, total expenses, sales and profit
The crop report calculates your exact cost per acre from the entries you made. Example amounts shown.

How it works

From seasonal expenses to your exact per-acre cost

You do not have to do complicated division at harvest. Enter each cost as you spend it, and ZaraiOS organizes it by acre and by maund.

  1. 1

    Enter field size and crop

Enter the field area in acres or kanals (e.g. 5 acres wheat). Ready crop stages help keep entries organized.

  2. 2

    Record expenses as they happen

Log tractor hours, diesel, seed bags, fertiliser (DAP/urea), canal or tube-well water, sprays, and mazdoor wages.

  3. 3

    Enter your harvest yield

At harvest time, enter the total bags or maunds harvested and sold, including deductions and market commission.

  4. 4

Read your cost per acre and per maund

ZaraiOS divides your total recorded cost by field acreage and by total maunds so you know your break-even price.

Cost per acre questions

How does ZaraiOS calculate cost of wheat production per acre?

It sums all expenses recorded for that wheat crop (seed, tractor, fertiliser, water, labour, harvest) and divides the total by your field acreage.

Can I see my cost per maund (per mun)?

Yes. When you enter harvest production, ZaraiOS divides your total crop expenses by the number of maunds produced, showing your exact break-even cost per maund.

How is tube-well diesel divided if one filling waters multiple fields?

You can log the diesel purchase in the Store (Godam) and charge the exact amount used to each crop stage.

How is yearly zameen theka included in cost per acre?

When adding a theka field, choose how many crops it covers (e.g. 2 crops). Half the theka is automatically applied as a land cost to each crop.

Does ZaraiOS publish standard cost per acre figures for Pakistan?

No. Government and university studies publish averages, but every farmer has different soil, tube-well water and tractor rates. ZaraiOS calculates your own real cost.

Can I use it for onion, cotton, maize and vegetables?

Yes. Wheat and onion have ready stage outlines. Any other crop uses custom stages to track cost per acre.

Can I compare this year’s cost per acre with last season?

Yes. Past seasonal reports remain saved on your phone and account so you can compare whether diesel or fertilizer expenses increased.

Does the cost calculator work without internet in the field?

Yes. All expense logging and report calculations work completely offline on Android.
